The parade follows a route across from the COSMOS gas station along Kawabatadori to the police station

This is Mayumi Shiga. she is the Manager at Wakaba Ryokan.

She is always friendly and helpful so please ask her if you need anything.

Before coming to Wakaba Ryokan she used to work as a nurse.

My name is Nozomu Shiga.

I’ve been General Manager here for 16 years.

I am always busy making soba noodles in the soba “Tatsu” restaurant next to the the entrance to Wakaba Ryokan.

Please come and try my tasty hand made noodles!

I speak a little English.

Today I’d like to introduce Miss Eto joined us in April last year from Miyazaki pref.

She works on Reception and as a room maid and she is good with children.

She also enjoy chatting with guests.

Choi Hyun Young is from Korea and joined us almost three years ago.

He works on Reception and as a room attendant and speaks Korean, English and Japanese.

He is good at photography, so you can ask him to take your photo.

Also,in October last year Mr. Zaizen joined us after graduating from college in Tokyo.
He serves dinner and helps you select a drink.
He likes alcohol too (but of course not when he is working)!

And finally for today Miss. Uemura joined us in April last year from Kumamoto city.
She works on Reception and as a room maid and she speaks a little English.
She knows quite a lot sightseeing spots in Kumamoto prefacture.

Once a year, on June 26th,  you can bathe in the public outdoor hot spring bath at any of the 25 ryokan belonging to the Kurokawaonsen Ryokan Association for free!

Don’t forget to pop into the reception of the ryokan first before heading off to use the baths!

This is Hitomi!

You will probably meet her after you check in, and she will explain everything you need to know about your room and the inn.

She’s pretty good at English, and very friendly and helpful.

By the way she’s also an expert at Japanese calligraphy!

This is Mr.Tanabe, he’s a manager.

You meet him when you check in and he deals with online and telephone enquiries.

He understands some English (of course).

You may also see him serving dinner in the restaurant.

We like to keep him busy!

We offer hot drinks, sake and light snacks.
